After renaming your device in any home application, you need to rediscover your devices.
If you have multiple devices integrated with Alexa on one account, avoid using possessive terms like “my” when giving commands. The correct example would be: “Alexa, turn on the ceiling fan.”
The icons located in the top right corner of your iOS device can indicate if your fan is connected. The blue icon with a house means that your iOS device and your fan are on the same network. Green means that your device and fan are connected through a server. The red icon with the Wi-Fi symbol and a circled “X” means that you are disconnected.
If you are using the Amazon Alexa app, you need to create a Hunter Fan account through the SIMPLEconnect Wi-Fi app. Your fan must be registered before enabling the skill.
